PSTN is short for Public Switched Telephone Network, the worldwide public-switched telephone networks that are connected by switching centers. The PSTN is also referred to as landline or fixed network.
The PSTN allows for call routing via fixed landlines. The majority of the PSTN is digitally serviceable. The only thing you need to be able to receive phone calls and the many additional features we offer via the PSTN, is a regular landline or mobile phone.
The modern alternative to the PSTN network is VoIP telephony. However, VoIP cannot safeguard sufficient quality of connection. For this reason we offer our inbound voice services mainly via the PSTN.
Nevertheless, TeleForwarding can offer the possibility to connect your VoIP number(s) to PSTN via SIP (Session Initiated Protocol) and vice versa.
